About Mythwild

Every culture on Earth has told stories about the things that live just past the edge of the map. Dragons hoarding in the hills. Kelpies at the water's edge. The yeti who keeps to himself. The jackalope nobody believes in. These creatures kept people careful, curious and a little bit braver for thousands of years, and then most of us stopped telling their stories.

Mythwild exists to keep them going.

We make shirts for the people who still look twice at a dark lake. Who read the footnotes. Who know the difference between a selkie and a mermaid and will happily explain it, again. People who grew up on fairy tales and folklore and never really grew out of them. If you've ever felt like the odd one out for loving this stuff, this brand is for you.

This isn't fantasy merch. It's mythology and folklore you can wear.

Born from the stories

Mythwild began as a storytelling channel. On YouTube, Bea the fox naturalist tracks down one creature at a time and tells its tale the way it deserves to be told: properly, with a bit of humour, and with respect for where it came from. The shirts grew out of those stories. Each design starts with a real legend, then gets the Mythwild treatment: a Medusa who simply isn't a people person, a Sisyphus who is almost there again, a chupacabra who has never once been goat-free.

We only work from folklore that belongs to everyone, the old stories handed down for centuries. No borrowed characters, no studio monsters. Every design is drawn in-house, built around the creature first and the joke second.

Made properly

Our tees are Comfort Colors: garment-dyed, broken in from the first wear, and soft enough that you'll keep reaching for them. Every shirt is printed to order at the press closest to you, so nothing sits in a warehouse, nothing goes to landfill because a size didn't sell, and every design comes out fresh.

Real people read your messages

There's no call centre behind Mythwild. Every question, order check and "is this the right size?" is answered by the Mythwild team in Australia. If something isn't right, a wrong shirt, a damaged parcel or a fault in the print, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace or refund it. The details are on our refunds page.

Mythwild by Emberhollow Studio: Mythwild is made by Emberhollow Studio, a small independent studio in the far north of Australia, so you'll see the Emberhollow name on some of our emails and receipts. Same people, same creatures.
